CAMBRIDGESHIRE FESTIVAL OF EDUCATION
The Cambridgeshire Festival of Education is
'The most optimistic education festival in the world, probably!'
Project managed by The Kite TSA Cambridge this annual optimistic and joyful celebration of teachers and teaching has been inspiring and energising teachers for three years.
Spinney Primary School Headteacher and NLE, Rae Snape (and Chair of the Cambridgeshire Schools Improvement Board) curates this rich and exciting programme by connecting with some of the most inspiring and optimistic thought-leaders in the world of education today. CambsEdFest (as it is fondly known) is nationally recognised through its iconic flamingo. This is the festival's motif for the optimism and positivity that we need in education today, as Rae Snape says 'For the sake of our children, colleagues and community we should be flamingos of hope rather than lemmings of despair'.
Cambridgeshire Festival of Education's steering group meets 3 times a year. If you're interested in getting involved please contact The Kite TSA. The group is currently made up of representative members from the Cambridgeshire School Improvement Board, The Kite TSA Cambridge, NEU, CASSA, University of Cambridge Faculty of Education, Long Road Sixth Form College, Teach in Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire TSAs and Cambridgeshire County Council.
The steering committee wishes to thank the Cambridgeshire Schools Improvement Board for providing the festival's main source of funding for the first 3 years. If you would like to sponsor or support CambsEdFest 2020 - please get in contact, we would love to hear from you.
